How many parades? I’ve lost the count on the number of times I’ve ambled alongside the Luther Burbank Rose Parade. Each year tends to be a little different. Some years, colors of the Rose Parade are subdued, other times it’s awash in the spectrum of light. Luckily, the 117th walking of Santa Rosa’s fete to Luther Burbank was festooned with colors that ran the prism. Either that or I was just seeing better on Saturday.
At some parades, a wide angle is the lens of choice, it gets the reader up close and personal to a subject. For some reason, maybe it’s a certain amount of visual clutter I try to avoid, a 400mm lens works best at the Rose Parade.
