The last breath of summer?  Maybe.  Whatever the case, the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch, which means that a prolonged period of hot temperatures is expected.  The area of the watch includes the interior of the North Bay Valleys and mountains, which means Sonoma County and portions of the greater  Bay Area.  Santa Rosa is expected to top out near 89 degrees on Saturday and 94 both Sunday and Monday.  You would have to go back to 1980 to break the record of 102 for Sunday and the Monday forecasts.

If you’re riding in the GranFondo this weekend, HYDRATE!
