The rolling steel that is NASCAR is back at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.  With it comes the people and advertising that follows.  At least 6,000 RV’s (never really counted ’em before) a couple of hundred big rigs carrying everything from cars to hats and everything in between.  Yesterday was pretty mellow, a few campers showed up to stake their 40 x10 plot of race heaven on the foothills of Cougar Mountain.  Today, team carriers arrive but will not be allowed to park and set-up in the garage area until around 5pm.  I will be at the track all week along with a host of PD reporters.  Stay tuned.

Jeff Freeman of Antioch arrived at Infineon Raceway for this weekends Toyota/Savemart 350 in Sonoma and promptly set up his NASCAR windmills that he built and a post that he writes in all of the winners from 2010's races. Freeman and his family are staying in a motor home near turn 1. (Kent Porter / Press Democrat) 2010
