Friday the 13th?  It’s so much bull.  I’m not superstitious and believe being in the right place at the right time is the only time.  None of this wrong place at the wrong time.  The glass is half -full and that’s how I dunk my cookie.

Such was the case this when I photographed a line of pelicans sauntering lazily above the Laguna de Santa Rosa this morning.  The light was nice, and my 16:9 photo ratio was in overdrive.  Then it was a group of swallows perching on some utility lines that made me look up to see a pattern.

Whoops.

I dunked the cookie, but those perched birds took advantage of the stationary photographer below them.  I’m pretty confident our feathered friends live for moments like these.
